We have high standards when it comes to how our jewellery is made and finished. We pay attention to the small details and make sure our stones are set properly in clasps, bezel, etc, not glued in (as some cheaply manufactured pieces available in the market).

Gold Plated - Gold-plated jewellery refers to jewellery that has gold plating at least 0.5 microns thick. It does not require sterling silver to be used as the base material, and usually uses brass or other yellow alloys. Our gold pieces are composed of brass base metal with at least 3-micron thick 18k gold, which is 12x thicker than industry standards. This means that a thick layer of solid gold is electroplating onto the brass base layer, to form a thick and durable layer of solid gold. On top of that, we use an e-coating, aka electro deposition or electro-coating, which uses an electrical current to cover a metal surface with an organic lacquer, which aids in longevity and prevents our jewellery from tarnishing, but it also ensures our pieces are hypoallergenic and sensitive-skin friendly.

White Rhodium Plated - Rhodium plated jewellery adds an extra layer of protection to jewellery and produces a brighter white than sterling silver, white gold, or platinum. It is very shiny and reflects up to 80 percent of light. Rhodium gives off one of the best sheens achievable, making it a very popular metal for jewellery. It helps give jewellery brilliance, smoothness, and a shiny finish making it look more attractive. Realistically, jewellery cannot be crafted from solid rhodium because, despite its strength, rhodium is brittle. A layer of rhodium plating must be just the right thickness to keep it from cracking, not exceeding 1.0 microns. Any thinner and the metal underneath would show; any thicker and the coating would crack. That perfect layer of rhodium can enhance the appearance, quality, and longevity of your jewellery.

Rhodium is very rare as it is never found as a single mineral. Rather, it is cultivated in very small quantities within platinum ores. This scarcity with the huge demand for rhodium and its high-shine appearance, and you can see why rhodium is the world's most expensive precious metal. In fact, it beats out both gold and silver by a huge margin.

Rhodium is hypoallergenic because it does not contain nickel that can cause serious skin reactions. It actually guards against other metals to keep your skin safe.

Rhodium plating offers protection from hard knocks and illuminates surrounding gemstones. Rhodium may be just the extra sparkle you’re looking for.

925 Sterling Silver - Sterling silver is an alloy of silver and typically contains 92.5% of silver and 7.5% of other metals. Pure silver is very soft and malleable, this is why it is mixed with 7.5% of other metals. This ensures the jewellery will hold its shape and be more durable over time. Our sterling silver pieces are coated in rhodium to make it whiter and brighter. As part of the platinum family, rhodium plating our silver means your jewellery is more durable, more resistant to scratching, and hypoallergenic.

Stones - Our fusion stones are a type of gem created by fusing two or more different stones. This process is carried out in laboratories, where the stones are subjected to high temperatures and pressures to melt their components into a new composite stone.

There are different techniques for creating fusion stones, but most involve the use of a high temperature and pressure furnace to melt the original stones. As the stones fuse, their components mix and form a new stone with properties different from the originals.

This process gives the fusion stones a different shine and a brittle effect inside, like small cuts/inclusions, making it even more similar to the mined gemstone.

Fusion stones are a realistic and also eco-friendly choice to natural gems. Lab stones alternatives can be as stunning as their natural counterparts, providing one of the most cost-efficient, eco-friendly jewellery without jeopardize beauty.

PRODUCT CARE

We want your jewellery to keep in tip-top shape for years to come!

Some factors influence the care when wearing the jewellery. Taking the utmost care when wearing your Elladora jewellery is a must, so we have some tips to help:

● Put your jewellery on last (after makeup, perfume, sunscreen etc.) before you leave home, and take it off first thing when you get back home.

● Keep your jewellery away from lotions, creams, perfume, makeup, fake tan products, and other beauty products. If you wear those, allow it time to sit and absorb into the skin first, also avoid applying them onto body parts where jewellery will be in direct contact.

● If you use hair care products, especially hair spray, do it before putting your jewellery on, to make sure your Elladora pieces remain perfect for longer.

● If your jewellery gets wet, wipe it dry as soon as possible.

● Avoid spas, swimming, bathing or showering with jewellery on, as saltwater, chlorine, shampoos, soaps, and other chemicals can affect the finish of the metal.

● Remove your jewellery before doing high impact physical activities, exercising or before bed; excessive sweat and body oils can reduce the lifetime of your jewellery.

● Store your pieces in dark and dry places, away from sunlight and humidity, also separate them by the type of materials.

● To maintain shine, regularly use a lint-free polishing cloth to wipe away dirt, sweat, chemicals etc.

● If your piece loses shine/luster or oxidizes, you can gently wash it with natural soap (chemical free) and warm water, rinse it well, blow dry it with cold air and finish it up by polishing your piece with a soft, lint-free polishing cloth

WARRANTY

Elladora offers a 6-month warranty on all applicable jewellery pieces from the date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing failures but unfortunately does not cover neglect, wear and tear. Rest assured that we will repair and replace the damaged product if the product fails due to a manufacturing fault.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY POLICY

Elladora Store is not responsible for parcels that are lost or delayed in transit due to the fault of Australia Post or any other courier - we will trace your parcel on your behalf and work with you to provide as much information as we can if you decide to lodge an investigation with Australia Post.

Elladora Store is not liable for any costs associated with parcels being returned to sender due to being unclaimed or not delivered, or where a customer has incorrectly entered the address during checkout. Elladora Store is not responsible for any parcels that are damaged, lost, stolen or delayed during transit.

For international customers, the prices quoted do not include your local sales taxes or import duties, which may be charged to your purchase upon entry to your country. We are not responsible for any costs imposed when your parcel is delivered, nor any delays in transit. Elladora Store will not accept parcels back for a refund where the customer has chosen to reject customs charges, as these are the responsibility of the customer. RETURN POLICY

Elladora have a 30-day return policy, which means if you're not completely satisfied with our items, you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To arrange a return, please contact our customer care team at elladorastore@elladorastore.com.au . If your order qualifies for a refund, our customer care team will then authorize your return. We'll send you a return shipping label, and instructions on how and where to return your package. 

All customer returns are at the customers expense and must be returned in their original condition, undamaged, unworn and properly secured box, recommended by us. Unless an error has occurred at the fault of Elladora, you will not be asked to pay the return postage fee when lodging your return. We recommend purchasing tracked postage so you can trace your return; Elladora does not assume responsibility for lost parcels. 

You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

DAMAGED GOODS

Please inspect your order upon receiving it and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can resolve the issue and make it right. Customer satisfaction is our high priority.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS:

Earrings are not able to be returned for hygiene reasons. Items purchased on sale, promotional items, free gifts, charity pieces, custom products (such as special orders or personalized items) and gift cards are not eligible to be returned.

We do not offer refunds unless the item is deemed faulty due to the manufacturing process. Under consumer law, ‘Elladora’ reserves the right to assess and determine fault within a product prior to processing a refund.

EXCHANGES

The quickest way to ensure you get that jewellery you were after is to return the unwanted item. Once the return is accepted, you can purchase the new item to be sent out to you as soon as possible. 

REFUNDS

Once we've received and inspected your returned item, we will promptly inform you if the refund was approved or not. 

If approved, you'll be automatically refunded via your original payment method.

ORDERS MADE WITH AFTERPAY 

Any order placed with a third-party payment company will not be affected by exchanges or credits. If an order is required to be refunded due to fault, the amount refunded will be processed using your original payment method (using the linked bank account/debit card associated with the third-party provider).
